We are grateful for any size donation. These examples can provide context for your decision. 

A Donation of

$25-$75

One-Time or Monthly Donation
Will get someone to their doctor appointment in Bozeman.
Or to a specialist in Billings.
Or to a new job until the first paycheck.
Or provide insulin for a diabetic who can't afford his life-saving medicine one month.

A Donation of

$50-$100

One-Time or Monthly Donation
Will buy some food and sundries for a homeless individual or family.
Or a Senior Citizen whose Social Security doesn't stretch far enough.
Or for a single parent struggling to keep food on the table for her kids.

A Donation of

$75-$150

One-Time or Monthly Donation
Will provide a motel room for one or two nights for a woman coming out of the domestic abuse shelter while she figures out what to do next.
Or will give a homeless
individual or family a bed to sleep in and a warm shower for a little respite from their hard lives.

A Donation of

$200-$500

One-Time or Monthly Donation
Will help prevent eviction/ homelessness by paying partial rent for an individual or family where hours have been cut at work & they can't make the rent.
Or for someone whose rent was raised while his/her wages weren't increased to allow for it; or for someone who gets sick and can't pay the rent.

A Donation of

$500-$1000

One-Time or Monthly Donation
Will help pay a Security Deposit so an individual or family can become “housed;” Security Deposits are a huge barrier to securing housing and often keep people homeless.

A Monthly Donation of

$5-$25

Monthly Donation (Any Amount)
Helps provide our organization with the ability to predict cash flow so that help can be available to those with the greatest need.
Do not think that any donation is too small. Many hands make light work. Each gift brightens the life of another.

Your Donations Extend Much Further

Presently, our overhead is very low, which allows Friends of the Community to provide 80% of all donations directly to those in need. This is an amazing ratio in the non-profit sector. The main reason we can achieve this benefit to others is our conscious dedication to running a lean operation, because there is such a tremendous need in our community for assistance.
